Saturday May 10th, Mother's Day Picnic - 11am-2pm
Once a year the dads in PWP put together a picnic to honor all the PWP moms and the time is here! This is one event you don't want to miss ladies with the men grilling some good food and supplying all the sides and drinks. All you need to bring is yourself, your kids, and some chairs (though if you have a special side dish you'd like to bring, the guys won't mind). This event will also be open to prospective members (moms or dads) who might be thinking of joining PWP so feel free to invite folks you know. Once again the picnic will be held at Montgomery Park, same place as the Easter Egg Hunt. Please RSVP to Sam: sam@samstoybox.com or 228-9640.
Directions: Head north on San Mateo past Comanche. You'll pass the Erna Fergusson Public Library (at Comanche) and take a right on Ponderosa, the street immediately past the arroyo. You can't miss Montgomery Park on your right; park on the street or in the parking lot.

Saturday May 17th - Sunday May 18th, White Sands/Alamogordo - all day
Twice a year the White Sand's National Monument near Alamogordo hosts a full-moon bike ride.
Sam C. is planning to take his grown sons and wanted to invite PWP along as well. Full details
are forthcoming but include leaving in the morning on Saturday, sleding down the white sand on
plastic flying saucers in the late morning/mid-afternoon. The bike ride is from 9:00pm-midnight
on Saturday and is about 15 miles of flat/easy terrain. Sunday morning Sam and crew will take
in the NM Museum of Space History and the IMAX theater, others may want to enjoy the Alamogordo
Zoo. We'll head back shortly after lunchtime. Sam will be taking his motorhome and staying
at a campgrounds, others can stay there too (tent camping--it will be hot! or in one of the cabins)
or can choose one of the local motels. We'll figure out how to get all the bicycles down there safely.
PWP will pay the bike ride fee and admission to the museum or zoo (but not for the IMAX movie) for the
kids. Contact Sam C. for more details.
